This is a copy of the swing of the late Moe Norman used, who was considered by his peers to be the greatest ball striker in the history of golf. In recognition to his greatness in golf, in 1995 Titlest, decided to pay Moe $5,000 a month for the rest of his life.
Many golf instructors are now teaching this swing in many different formats, yet they all incorporate basically the same fundamentals, which is the elimination of all the sequences involved in the Traditional Swing, such as wrist roll , weight shift and the setting the club in the right arc.
However, it does have some requirements to clubs themselves, as they have to be one inch longer, and to also, have a build up of the grip under your lower hand, the reason for this will be self explained when going through the set up.
1) Your stance must be as wide as possible.
2) Your address to the ball a little behind the center of your stance.
3) Your wrist should not have an angle from them to the shaft meaning that there is a straight line from the shoulders to the shaft, this is not to be confused with the angle created, when your hands are ahead of the ball in the address position, but just a straight line from your shoulders to the shaft, this is the reason, for the longer length clubs.
4) The grip should be where the palm of your upper hand is pointing down as much as possible and the palm of your lower hand is point up as much as possible. In other words, your lower hand is under the shaft as much as possible, this is the reason for the grip build up under your lower hand, as this will be your dominate hand in the swing.
5) Now it is just a matter of swinging the club without the concern for weight shift, nor the squaring up the club face, as the face will remain square through out the swing.
With this swing there will be a small loss of distance because the second lever has been eliminated, but there will be a big increase in accuracy.
This swing is so simple to use, and requires very little practice as compared to the Tradition Swing ,however there are some equipment changes needed, videos to watch and swing gimmicks to help teach you the swing.
Is the a better swing ? You Bet: The Simple Golf Swing.
